Material Description

Ferrous Scrap (Iron & Steel)

#1 Steel 1/4″ and over in thickness/ individual pieces not over 2′ x 5′.
#2 Steel 1/8″ and over in thickness; individual pieces not over 18″ x 3′.
Mixed Prepared #1 and #2 Steel Mixed.
Clean Auto Cast Clean auto blocks; free of all steel parts except camshafts, valves, valve springs and studs.
Cast Iron All grades of cast iron except burnt iron.  That can be prepared.
Heavy Breakable Cast Cast Iron scrap over size 2′ x 3′ and weighing more than 150 lbs.  That cannot be prepared.
Shearing Thicker than 1/8″ any length, any width.
Torch Steel scrap too thick to shear.
Sheet Iron/Shred Under 1/8″ thick, any length, any width.
Clean Cars Liquids drained from engine, transmission, torque converters, rear end, and shock absorbers.  Hole in shock absorbers.  No rubber, glass, insulation, plastic or trash, gas tank and tires removed, no copper wire.
Dirty Cars No fluids, battery, or Freon.

Specialty Items Accepted

Gas Tank 12″ inspection hole.  No fluids.  Grade:  Sheet Iron
Grill Propane Tanks Segregated and received separate from all grades. Grade: Shred
Cable Cut in 3′ to 5′ lengths.  Grade:  Mix Prepared.
Soil Pipe with Lead Joints Separate from all other grades and scrap.
Appliances Must be accessible for inspection or have doors removed. Grade: Shred
